As a Technical Production Lead with the Worldwide Events and Experiences team at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the flawless execution of live events and content environments that reflect the Apple aesthetic-seamless, innovative, and precise. You will be responsible for the setup and supervision, of ground breaking technical operations, ensuring that every detail aligns with Apple's high standards. As a member of the Shared Services team this role demands a deep understanding of lighting, visual , audio technologies, and set construction in live events, as well as physical environmental and scenic construction, combined with the ability to manage on-site technical and production vendors, all in collaboration with the Worldwide Events and Experiences(WEE) team.

Description

Collaborate with procurement and the Worldwide Events and Experiences (WEE) team to identify production vendors. Define the scope of work, review estimates, and establish project schedules. Coordinate with vendors and venues on drawings, schedules, crew calls, and overall logistics to ensure the successful execution of events. Oversee the setup and operation of technical components for live and filmed productions, ensuring all elements meet Apple's standards of excellence. Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support during live events and content productions, ensuring the highest levels of quality and continuity. Work closely with the WEE teams during planning and pre-production to align all technical aspects with event objectives. Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate the latest advancements in event technology into Apple's production processes where appropriate. Conduct pre-event testing and ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintaining Apple's commitment to quality and safety. Accurately document technical setups and configurations for future reference, including creating 3D drawings and collaborating with engineering partners. Supervise the breakdown and load-out of technical components, ensuring all elements are handled with care and precision. This position requires 30% travel, both domestic and international, based on project needs. Work maybe required over Holidays and Weekends

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven track record in live event, theatrical, and/or content production, with a strong focus on lighting, audio, video, temporary power and carpentry and managing construction builds, theatrical sets, environmental, and temporary structures.
  • 10 years of management experience, overseeing crews, departments, and vendors.
  • Expert knowledge of current technology, including lighting, audio, video control systems, and on-site technical troubleshooting.

  • A meticulous approach to all aspects of event production, ensuring nothing is overlooked
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external vendors
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines over multiple time zones
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team dedicated to delivering exceptional events
  • Strong ability to estimate costs for technical aspects of the production and manage budgets
  • Efficiently allocate materials, labor, and resources to achieve high production value within financial limits
  • Deep understanding of technical theater equipment, software (CAD, Vectorworks, etc.), and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the fly during rehearsals and performances
  • Translate creative vision into technical reality while ensuring safety and feasibility
  • Ability to work long, irregular hours, often under tight deadlines and high pressure

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
