Description

The Global Architecture and Design Team, part of the Real Estate and Development organization is seeking a Standards Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital design tool platform. This role is crucial in streamlining the design process and enhancing efficiency across all projects. The Standards Manager will oversee the team in developing, implementing, and managing the platform's integration, collaboration features, automation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Lead the conception, design, and implementation of a digital design tool platform using agile methodologies. Manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery in sprint cycles. • Lead the implementation of architectural standards for workplace design with sustainable sourcing requirements. • Implement features to promote cross-functional collaboration, automate compliance checks, and analyze the existing design process to identify opportunities for improvement, refining workflows and reducing review times. • Collaborate with internal and external technology partners, conduct regular research on industry trends, and oversee the content population and maintenance of the platform. • Develop and implement strategies to promote user adoption, provide training in agile methodologies and platform usage, and partner with the design team to ensure adherence to architectural standards. • Engage with internal stakeholders and end-users to gather feedback, and utilize platform data to generate insights on product usage, sustainability trends, and process efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Computer Science or a related field, or a combination thereof.
  • 10+ years of experience in design management, product management for digital tools, or a related role, or a combination of these experiences.
  • Expertise in developing global design standards, deep understanding of architectural materials, construction industry trends, regulations, and market demands, and excellent knowledge of workplace design principles and best practices.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing strategic digital tools. Experience with design technology software, including 3D modeling, visualization, drawing and collaboration programs.
  • Skilled in preparing and reviewing comprehensive documentation packages for both internal and external teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, proficiency in project and program management. Expertise in program financial planning and budgeting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within global organizations in a corporate or workplace design environment. Ability to understand long-term vision and short-term iterative delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading the conception, development, and implementation of digital design tool platforms.
  • Background in design, materials management, or sustainability science.
  • Proficiency in sustainability standards such as LEED, WELL, or other relevant certifications.
  • Strong experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,200 and $255,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
