To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for a Senior Test Automation & Production Support Manager to help us do extraordinary things. Apple's Retail Decision Automation team is looking for a versatile senior manager to lead a team of analytical, data oriented, and critical thinking analysts who test and validate system decisioning for an exciting portfolio of online retail decisioning programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about machine learning reliability test automation and production support.

Description

- Lead all aspects of test automation and production support for RDA. - Engage with other RDA partner teams on opportunities, requirement changes, and technical solution designs to satisfy program needs. - Architect and collaborate with engineers and program managers to assure the testing program is satisfactory and production support meets expectations. - Ensure operational and metric health by monitoring ML reliability and program KPIs. - Mentor and grow the team's careers through regular feedback tied to development plans. - Drive a collaborative and supportive culture on your team, and collaborate with peers to share best practices across the larger organization.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of direct reports.
  • 2+ years of experience in hiring and leading teams of technical, engineering or testing roles.
  • Working knowledge of test approaches, automation techniques, and/or production support of customer-facing programs using machine learning at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to comprehend and debug complex systems integrations.
  • Ability to analyze testing opportunities for areas of improvement or enhancements in support of the program roadmap.
  • Excellent presentation skills, distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways.
  • Creativity to engineer novel features and signals, and to push beyond current tools and approaches.
