The RDM team create and care for Apple Stores that look, feel, and function as beautifully as our products. We do this by obsessing over the employee and customer experience, and driving a global strategy that sets the bar. The Retail Design Standards and Implementation team collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design integration of Apple's brand and values in global retail stores. As part of the team, you will uphold rigorous Retail Design Standards and Implementation programs for Apple Real Estate, Design and Merchandising groups worldwide. You will oversee development and communication of Retail Design Standards while maintaining and providing support for architectural detailing, documentation and delivery.

Description

This role will create partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure design solutions are comprehensive, accurate and consistent with Apple's brand and values. This team maintains a high level of quality throughout all Retail Design Standards platforms while effectively communicating to all internal and external partners of current and new design solutions. Responsibilities include: Manage, maintain and represent comprehensive Retail Design Standards and Implementation documentation through prototypical Construction Documents, Specifications, Design Guidance, Product Standards, Shop Drawings, BIM and supporting information and tools. Collaborate on multiple design initiatives and find innovative strategies to streamline incorporation into Retail Design Standard and Implementation distributions and platforms. Oversee multiple design initiatives, in close collaboration with Retail Design Standards and Implementation consultants and partners, to ensure high quality, comprehensively captured design solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of architecture, construction or related industry experience
  • Professional degree in architecture, construction management or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide range of design, construction and technology specialists.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and ensure high quality deliverables and execution of multiple projects effectively and independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-starter who possesses exceptional time-management skills and has excellent attention to detail
  • Solution-based individual contributor who can work independently but also foster partnerships with individual stakeholders outside of Retail Design
  • Working knowledge of BIM tools, cloud based platforms and strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying schedules

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $255,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
