Apple's Hardware Reliability Engineering team is looking for you to work with our diverse hardware development groups to ensure and improve the durability and reliability of our products. You will partner with multiple engineering teams from beginning (concept) to the end (field returns) of the product lifecycle, while exploring new technologies and understanding how customers will use our products.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field or industry

• Passion for the customer experience and what we can do to improve it
• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity of how technologies work
• Capability to handle multiple projects at once and balance the workload
• Experience performing reliability testing such as mechanical stress testing, environmental testing, and cyclic load testing
• Statistical analysis experience with tools like Weibull++ or JMP to model failure distributions
• Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (optical microscopy, X-ray/CT, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, etc), and the ability to use failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failures

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
