Description

We're seeking a talented manager to lead a team of engineers who will streamline and optimize digital experience delivery. This team will build out and maintain Retail Technology's tooling suite for demo content creation, production and deployment, in collaboration with Apple Retail, Software Engineering, and IS&T organizations. Successful candidates are humble, curious, creative, tenacious, organized, have clarity of thought and can lead through ambiguity. - Lead a team that implements new features and enhancements for our internal tooling suite supporting the delivery of innovative digital experiences in stores - Understand the end to end process of demo content creation/production, including scripts, software tools. Contribute to overall design, roadmap, performance analysis and optimizations of tools - Build management system to ensure user requirements are translated into quality technical requirements, maintain and enhance technical documentation. Deliver relevant executive communications tied to project status - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of new features, or to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies - Monitor the performance and reliability of the systems involved in content production, implementing improvements as needed to optimize operations

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical content management or a similar role
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Previous programming experience, eg. Python or other coding languages
  • Proficiency in debugging and solving software issues including developing testing workflows, test suite creation, test planning/triaging/root cause analysis, as well as clarification of and tracking issues to resolution across multiple teams
  • Working level experience and knowledge of command line interface (CLI), terminal tools, scripting, version control tools such as git, as well as database management and API integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Unit testing, content localization experience and an understanding of content management systems
  • Excellent communication, executive update skills
  • Expertise in Project/Program/Product management skills and track record of delivering quality software products that meet business needs, on schedule
  • Role models inclusive leadership behaviors and builds, develops and retains diverse teams

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $286,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
