As the Lead Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving critical engagements with our customers through the entire cycle of solutions architecture, which involves understanding business problems, capturing requirements, designing a solutions, building a PoC and delivering the solution to production.

Description

In this role, you will have significant responsibilities in broadening the adoption of Apple Data Platform across Apple by engaging with customers from a wide variety of organizations at Apple. You will have the chance to influence the technical direction of Apple Data Platform by bringing customer requirements and latest industry advances through partnership with service engineering teams. This role requires working across multi-functional teams to deliver dynamic solutions that suit the unique and ever-changing requirements of each customer. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. You must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, analytics) and deep in at least two or three of those areas. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is crucial for the success of this role. Successful candidates will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across the company. You will have a real passion for customer success, technical excellence, and an ability to understand complex systems. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a solutions architect, software engineer or related technical role in technology domain areas (e.g. cloud computing, infrastructure, security, networking, machine learning)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products and technical challenges
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and data science concepts.
  • Solid project management skills: Prioritization, communicating across team/org boundaries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders
  • BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with NVIDIA stack (e.g. device plugin, GPU operator)
  • Experience with ML training and inference.
  • Open source contributions and public speaking experience in the areas of data analytics

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
