And we believe we're just getting started! We are seeking a strategic and results-driven individual to build and lead Business Development for the WW Marketplace Platforms & Technologies business. In this role, you will define the go-to-market strategy and drive developer adoption of the alternative app distribution channels and Core Technology Fee (CTF). You will cultivate strategic partnerships with developers and champion foundational platform & distribution technologies (APIs, SDKs and Developer Tools) that help developers build and scale their apps and app marketplaces in Apple's ecosystem. This is a rare opportunity to lead business development for a brand new business while collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team, including Finance, Legal, Product, Developer Relations, and Operations.

Description

Develop and implement go-to-market strategy to grow adoption of alternative app distribution channels and Core Technology Fee in Europe Evangelize the value of Apple's platform tools, technologies and services that help developers build quality apps, reach users, and grow their business in Apple's ecosystem Build and maintain strong relationships with app and app marketplace developers Serve as the voice of the developer; advocate for improvements in platform and alternative distribution experience based on developer feedback, market research and internal analysis Identify and deliver new business development and partnership opportunities Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Product, Legal, Finance) to gain support for business, product and policy initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience across business development, partnership management and product management within the mobile app space
  • Deep knowledge of the mobile app ecosystem with a fluency in common business models and app development standard practices
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

  • Proven success in building and scaling strategic partner ecosystems
  • Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills
  • Strong business acumen, high intellectual curiosity, and passion for Apple's products and mission
  • Outstanding verbal and written business communication skills - able to craft compelling narratives, deliver presentations, and engage in discussion with senior stakeholders and executives
  • Proven use of data, analytics and quantitative models to tell the story internally and externally
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical stills coupled with finely tuned business judgement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; Highly motivated, works well in a high paced environment and proactive in leading projects from end-to-end
  • Integrity and a strong team player
  • Strong knowledge of European Union consumer market and regulatory environment
  • MBA or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $279,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
