Apple is seeking a Global Sourcing & Supply Manager (GSSM) with relevant experience in advertising, marketing, and/or content procurement to assist with strategic planning, long term deal structuring and negotiations. This position requires the ability to work with procurement, marketing and content, finance and legal teams and also third-party creative agencies and content production and post production suppliers. Position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. The Global Sourcing & Supply Manager is positioned at the interface between Apple's marketing and content teams and the agencies and suppliers that provide marketing and creative content. We are responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies as well as recommending marketing and content innovations based on evolving improving technology. The position requires an interest in content production suppliers, technology, market dynamics, negotiation, pricing, and risk mitigation. The Global Sourcing & Supply Management team drives planning and helps drive long term strategic deals.

Description
Develop a nuanced understanding of the creative agency and content production landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to Apple's advantage. Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals. Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity. Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy. Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of marketing and content production processes and costs and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple's future production roadmap and sourcing decisions. Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Masters Degree a plus
- Know the world of marketing and media content creation and delivery in order to develop long-term sourcing strategies that incorporate the latest industry trends and evolving market forces.
- Have an established network in the media and content partner space so that you can make immediate contributions to cross-functional teams.
- Apply your industry experience to help identify, develop and nurture new agency partners that have unique capabilities an/or a world-wide presence.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts to secure creative talent and define deliverables that meet Apple's exacting requirements.
- Bridge the gap between creative teams, procurement and finance to achieve uncompromising results at the most competitive cost.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated track record working cross-functionally in a creative field
- Extensive contract and negotiating experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,900 and $204,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
