Description and Requirements
The Global Supply Manager (GSM) is responsible for executing global sourcing strategies, building strong supplier base relationships and managing RFQ and supplier selection, managing supplier performance aligned with SOW, driving continuous improvement in supplier performance, managing supply risk with a business contingency plan
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for hardware, software, and IT-related services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms.
- Manage vendor selection and onboarding processes.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and drive supplier development initiatives.
- Resolve disputes and ensure contractual compliance.
Cost and Efficiency Optimization:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
- Analyze market trends to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Implement processes to improve procurement efficiency and reduce lead times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, IT, operations, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business needs.
- Provide procurement support for product launches, infrastructure upgrades, and software deployments.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Leverage analytics tools to track and report key supply chain metrics.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a robust supply base to ensure continuity during disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or related roles, preferably in the tech/software industry.
- Strong understanding of global sourcing practices and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Familiarity with software licensing agreements and technology procurement.
- Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP).
