The IS&T Retail Engineering organization has the goal of providing an intuitive, seamless and inspiring customer shopping experiences through interactions with our people, products and services. The Apple Store App Team is a highly cohesive team operating in an exciting and fast-paced development environment. Our team creates mobile e-commerce and retail experiences through the Apple Store App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Our team is also responsible for Apple's next generation platform for engagement and communication with customers through Messaging apps such as Apple Messages and WeChat.

Description

This is a hands-on position where the Technical Project Manager will be involved in business requirements analysis, functional and technical design discussions, testing, working with key strategic partners, and more. This is not a task-based job; we are looking for someone to be responsible for the delivery and success of your features. This person will drive and ship all aspects of large, cross-functional projects and feature areas. They will oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent projects including scope, requirements, timelines, risks and resource allocation. You will manage communication - apprising status and issues to team members, management and other project partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with relevant industry experience and at least 4 years in a project manager position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry recognized Certified Scrum Master or Project Management Professional certification highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of common Agile practices and service-oriented environments.
  • We seek a self starter, forward-thinking person with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of an organization.
  • Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).
  • Strong technical proficiency, especially relating to e-commerce: server architecture and development, systems integration, reconciliation with the ability to frame technical solutions/options and negotiate business acceptance.
  • Highly accountable and responsible. Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, for collaborating across many participating teams.
  • Must be able to grasp issues quickly and while factoring in technical dependencies and system limitations, make educated decisions in the absence of complete information.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
