The Apps team is looking for an amazing Build and Release Engineering Project Manager to drive application builds and releases across Apple platforms. We are looking for someone who is excited about building great apps in a constantly evolving environment, thrives on taming sophisticated development pipelines, and appreciates the importance of accuracy and on-time delivery.
Description
The Build and Release EPM works closely with Engineering, QA, Build, Integration and App Store teams to define and drive the build and release processes for Apple apps. Here, you will: Define and enforce scalable policies and procedures to ensure successful builds and releases. Manage build configuration requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. Manage risk in the release endgame leading up to customer launch. Work with Engineering teams to track software changes from PR to a successful build. Work with QA to ensure proper testing and sign-off happens on software changes. Work with multi-functional teams to resolve build and release issues while communicating timeline and resolution with app teams. Provide regular reports on submissions and releases. Effectively communicate program status to leadership and multi-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years prior experience managing a build and release process, either as an Engineering Project Manager or Build and Release Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in related fields like Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or an equivalent level of additional industry experience.
- Thorough understanding of branching, configuration management, testing, build and release processes for complex software.
- Technical understanding of development tools, source control, and continuous integration build systems, e.g. Xcode, GitHub, Jenkins.
- Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple partners across a highly-matrixed, multi-functional organization.
- Ability to independently manage complex project objectives.
- Proven track record of defining processes and completing them.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping software for Apple platforms.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
