The Packaging, Retail Events and Channel Store Team is seeking a passionate and motivated Engineering Program Specialist (EPS) to manage program bills of materials (BOMs), logistics and allocations. A member of our team must be an organized, detail oriented collaborator with strong prioritization skills and excellent communication abilities. They must be self-motivated and a fearless driver, ready to work with the Engineering Program Management team and multifunctional engineering teams to manage the risks and requirements associated with the success of each engineering program build. Description
Lead and manage System, Cable and MLB BOMs Create part numbers and structure complex BOMs (Bills of Materials) Create, manage, and process Engineering Change Orders, Manufacturer Change Orders, and Deviations Communicate BOM status within the development team while driving timely part released and correspond documentation Support Allocation and Build Databases Work on multiple projects concurrently International travel required at times to support build activities Oversee Apple security and safety product requirements
- Knowledge of configuration management and BOM structuring (preferably for hardware products)
- Minimum 3+ years of NPI program management (or consumer electronics industry related) logistics, and overseas supplier/contract manufacturer management or BA/BS degree
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Off-hour support required via email, phone or WebEx as needed
- Proven track record of excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Have an understanding of complex Bills of Materials and documentation experience
- Experience with PLM tools, Agile experience is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large cross-functional team
- Ability to react to re-sets and changes in a time sensitive and fast pace environment
- Experience with facilitating and tracking program budgets
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
