Description
The Policy Engineer will be the point of contact to connect the department and cross functional partners. You will work closely with study design and operations engineers, legal, health & safety, data governance, product security, and other engineering teams to develop robust processes for user study development. You will lead efforts to shepherd project approvals and craft guidance that address short term needs while also developing long term strategic program enhancements. • Leverage a strong foundation in privacy, legal, health and safety, and product security considerations to translate sophisticated challenges into clear best practices + processes • Be highly organized with a methodical approach to track and deliver projects on time • Act as a strong advocate for engineering teams and comfortably engage in healthy, constructive debates • Fearlessly engage with different specialists across Apple to collect feedback and deliver collaborative process improvements

Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in an operations, user studies, or program management role
- 2+ years of directly engaging with multiple review boards
- 2+ years communicating across all levels, including an executive audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Clear knowledge of sensor technology, user studies, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to preserve ethical, privacy, and security values in projects
- Quickly acquires familiarity with prototypes, systems, and emerging technologies
- Lean process development or agile project management
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives requiring executive support
- Skilled at making quick decisions based on data with high business impact
- Proven ability to manage time, resources and priorities effectively and autonomously
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
