Description
As a Camera Firmware Engineer - ISP, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for developing and optimizing camera firmware and embedded systems for Apple products. You will work on advanced image signal processing pipelines and machine learning algorithms to ensure that Apple delivers the best camera experience. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing performance issues and enhancing the reliability and efficiency of camera systems, collaborating closely with multi-functional teams to deliver best-in-class software solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop pioneering camera technology for Apple products, focusing on advanced ISP and machine learning techniques. 2. Design and develop robust ISP pipelines for high-performance camera systems. 3. Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms for image and video enhancement and analysis. 4. Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues in embedded systems. 5. Optimize system performance to improve efficiency and reliability. 6. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
- A real passion for embedded software development and system performance
- Strong expertise in multi-threading programming within an RTOS environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Profound knowledge and experience with ARM-based SoCs
- Extensive experience in image and video signal processing, including ISP and machine learning algorithms
- Consistent track record of system performance optimization and embedded system efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Prior work in camera systems or related fields is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
