The worldwide Apple Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail's customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple's products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values. The REM Creative Production group is looking for an outstanding Business Affairs Operations manager. The Business Affairs Operations team services Apple Retail's Customer Engagement and Team Engagement teams by with content creation and/or clearance for their online, in-store, and digital activations. The ideal candidate has deep experience in production, IP analysis, licensing, legal interfacing, cross functional partnerships and problem solving.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Review creative concepts for 3rd party and/or legal issues, manage and oversee legal briefings for new concepts and tracks projects through all phases with an eye for changes which have legal / BA implications. - Support content production, clearance and/or usage produced by REM, other teams at Apple and external entities in coordination with Retail Legal and Business Affairs team. - Provide thoughtful support on contractual analysis, guidance on clearance and interpreting the "gray areas" surrounding IP and content creation and usage. - Review content with a filter for legal, brand, PR and cultural sensitivities especially for use within the Apple Store environment. - Practice awareness around customer privacy and overall retail experience. Consider how our practices impact and benefit our Store team employees. - Highly collaborative with teams across Apple, passionate about problem solving. - Clear and concise communication is required with an ability to distill complex and multifaceted problems and scenarios.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of prior experience in rights-related and business affairs operational positions in the marketing industry.
- Knowledge of copyright, trademark and licensing and advertising law and trends.
- Experience negotiating, reviewing and marking up licensing agreements and contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of intellectual property rights ideally gained from experience working in a marketing, advertising and/or agency environment.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills and a strong attention to detail with a focus on optimization and clarity in processes.
- Exercise influence in a complex organization; exercising sound strategic, legal and business judgment in challenging situations; independent and proactive.
- Ability to partner with Legal and Marcom BA in the application of legal standards in marketing.
- Self-motivated and self-starter. Able to deal with rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,100 and $206,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
