We're looking for a curious, analytical & collaborative technical product manager to form a deep understanding of Apple's privacy values and advertising objectives of app developers and use that to inform product strategy for innovating on the signals, features, and transforms that power our Ads Platform and ML systems!

Description

Join us to help build a premier ad platform to connect Apple users with advertisers delivering the products and services they seek! This is an opportunity to drive impactful innovation in a world-class environment. - Leverage LLMs to retrieve and rank ads at scale: Leverage large language models to find relevant and useful ads, predict relevance and engagement, and optimize for high quality ad experiences for users and advertisers, and scale real time predictions for billions of devices and users. - Improve ad relevance and ad safety: Develop machine learning and natural language processing solutions to understand a user's search intent, protect users from offensive and low quality experiences, and predicts ads that maximize user satisfaction. - Collaborate with other Apple teams to improve models: Work with other teams across Apple to find, transform, and adopt signals, models, and data to improve our ads models. - Own the Product Roadmap: Own the roadmap, establish the key performance indicators, define priorities, and drive progress for developing new signals, features, embeddings, and machine learning models to improve ad retrieval and predictions. - Develop Actionable Insights: Analyze data to uncover trends and build the intelligence that powers our advertising platform and inform our product roadmaps. - Define and Drive Features: Articulate product enhancements through clear requirements documents, detailed diagrams, and effective communication, guiding engineering teams to successful implementation. - Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with engineers to prioritize tasks and complete efficiently, while synthesizing insights from research, customer feedback, platform performance, and sales input to inform strategic priorities. - Strategize with Key Stakeholders: Work alongside product managers, engineering managers, and go-to-market teams to craft and execute roadmaps that align with business goals and elevate the customer experience. This role offers a chance to influence a globally impactful platform through strategic vision and technical expertise!

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product management experience with at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch
  • Experience with machine learning systems and prediction models
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities including proficiency with SQL
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate product vision, product strategy and requirements to engineers and internal business partners
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and product stakeholders to define and drive product strategy and roadmap
  • Ability to build durable relationships, influence without authority, sell concepts internally, and actively drive decision-making across organizations
  • Self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability, and able to work efficiently to make continued progress on multiple priorities
  • BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Machine Learning or other relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience with at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems, prediction models, and advertising platforms
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities including proficiency with SQL and Python
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Machine Learning or other relevant field

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
