The UX Designer is a dedicated member of a small, cross functional scrum team and is primarily responsible for understanding root customer problems and prototyping and validating design solutions made in collaboration with other team members. An evangelist for user-centered design, this individual has a unique talent and passion for translating complex tasks into simple interactions, driving ease of use as our key competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a systems thinker, knowledgeable and eager to apply Agile and Lean UX techniques, comfortable in a fast-moving organization, excited to collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, UX Designers, and Product Managers to build revolutionary software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across complex workflows in the Leasing domain
- Collaborate with Product Management on roadmap and strategy, working as a tireless advocate for the end user and helping to balance those needs with those of the business
- Meet complex design challenges by participating alongside engineering, QA, and product in LeanUX-inspired activities such as design studios and story mapping
- Ongoing, close collaboration with team members during each sprint, including impromptu discussions and brainstorming activities, as well as pairing with engineers on design feasibility
- Supporting the team as needed with wireframes, flow diagrams, rapid prototypes and mock-ups to efficiently communicate and validate design ideas
- Facilitate user research, in collaboration with the team, to validate ideas and prototypes, as well as conduct ongoing usability testing of the working software
- Evangelize a cohesive user experience via the consistent use of UI patterns from our design system
Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude, product common sense, and curiosity combined with a genuine love for products, people, and user experience
- A portfolio of software design that demonstrates your design process, skills and creativity
- Experience with a variety of UX deliverables (wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, etc.), paired with a keen sense of when to choose the right tool(s) to communicate the design
- Experience conducting user research, distilling data to insights, and using insights to inform the product experience
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Agile UX and Lean UX methodologies and experience working in a highly collaborative, agile environment is a huge plus
- Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools, preferably Figma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in user experience design
- Previous experience with enterprise back office solutions, BI, reporting and integrations are a huge plus
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $104,000 - $140,000. The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc. Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
