Role summary
The application Engineer engages in pre-sales, post-sales, training and consulting activities to simulate complex electromagntic engineering problems for customers using ANSYS software products. As an expert user of ANSYS HFSS, SIwave, Q3D software products, the role also supports and trains application engineers and sales representatives in the use of the ANSYS Solution and helps key customers in the proper usage of related software tools in order to improve customers' productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS simulation products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Understanding customer needs in the area of Chip, Package, and PCB designs involving Signal and Power Integrity and provide right methodologies with Ansys solutions to ensure customer success.
Demonstrating the value of the ANSYS vision and software to existing/prospective customers through collaboration with direct and indirect Sales in order to grow sales volume.
Creating and presenting software demonstrations in order to assist with the software sales process, developing novel simulation solutions to streamline existing workflows, perform technical product presentations; ensuring software deployment and adoption; driving competitive benchmarks. Providing high-quality technical support to existing customers to ensure retention and customer delight.
Performing consulting activities in complex electrical engineering problems using ANSYS Inc. software products or other commercial CAE software.
Training customers on the usage of ANSYS simulation products to increase their proficiency, independence, and success in simulating engineering problems with ANSYS software.
Collaborating with product development teams by providing customer requirements as well as performing testing of new product releases to ensure the improved customer experience.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
Ph.D. or M.Sc. in electrical/electronic engineering
A minimum of 5-10years of industrial experience
Expert-level knowledge of SI/PI and EMC. Use of ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS SIwave, ANSYS Q3D, ANSYS Simplorer(Twinbuilder) and related software packages
Other competitor's software use experience would be welcome
Practical work experiences in design, physical test, product development is an advantage
Ability to work independently, as well as with other individuals/teams within and outside of Korea in a diverse team environment.
Experience in a customer-facing role would be a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively with customers.
Problem-solving skills and ability to create engineering solutions to customer problems.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of other commercial ECAE/ECAD software packages or semiconductor experience would be a plus
Work is performed in a general office environment.
Should be able to work on the phone and computer for an extended period of time. Up to 50% travelling would be required.
