American Family Insurance Claims Services (AFICS, Inc.) is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Associate Desk Adjuster to join our dynamic team. As an Associate Desk Adjuster, you will report to a Manager and provide exceptional customer service, manage claims, and resolve conflicts with fairness and sensitivity.

Position Compensation Range:
$23.00 - $33.17

Pay Rate Type:
Hourly

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

AFICS is dedicated to getting you ready for success. Training will be provided to develop the competencies required to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and investigate insurance claims with a customer-centric approach.
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders to gather necessary information.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Apply computer savviness to navigate our claims management systems and databases.
  • Demonstrate empathy and provide support to customers during stressful situations.
  • Resolve conflicts by finding equitable solutions that satisfy all parties involved.
  • Develop professional competencies through training and feedback.

Qualifications:
  • Possess outstanding customer service skills.
  • Manage your time and meet deadlines.
  • Have experience in conflict resolution, with a focus on maintaining relationships.
  • Be proficient in computer applications and be able to learn new software quickly.
  • You are someone who can empathize with customers' needs and concerns.

Licenses
  • Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 10%.
  • Catastrophe duty up to 75% as applicable.

Physical Requirements
  • Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events. As such, hiring will be focused around the following AmFam Group locations and candidates will be expected to attend in-office events in the listed location(s) when events and activities are scheduled: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034; Atlanta, GA
