Job Description
The Claims Shared Services team is looking for a Manager, Claims Estimate & Repair Verification to join our team! Reporting to the Director, National Claims Shared Services, you will be accountable for the management of a National team of Property Claims Estimate and Repair Verification Advisors. In this role you will support National Directors and their Management Team in achieving their loss/expense cost containment and customer experience objectives. As well as efficiency & effectiveness and employee engagement.

Role Designation: Hybrid

Accountabilities:

  • Provides operational leadership and direction to a capable team of property Claims Estimate and Repair Advisors and ensures their cooperation to successfully meet Allstate's Group of Companies and the Claim Department performance requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the Claims Estimate and Repair Advisors; ensuring they are maintaining secure financial controls over property estimates, and where appropriate, aligning to our contracts & agreements.
  • Provide detailed analysis that recognizes individual and team opportunities to positively impact Allstate Canada Group financial performance within appropriate claim performance metrics and adverse trends. Build plans to capitalize on the opportunities and reduce adverse risks.
  • Lead employees by providing appropriate coaching and feedback in preparation for performance, development & career opportunities
  • Recommend, implement and maintain an optimal organization design within the team, including alignment of roles, accountabilities and authorities and alignment of tasks within the organization to deliver on the strategy
  • Actively look for ways to improve customer service, efficiencies, employee engagement and cost containment through Continuous Improvement mythologies
  • Collaboration with the Property Management and Vendor Management teams to drive and deliver on departmental objectives
  • Understand productivity of your team through analysis of data within the Claims systems; analyze, determine and recommend appropriate level of resources for team
  • Ensure performance and development plans are in place for all direct report employees
  • Provide ongoing direction to the team to achieve targets
  • Participate in Talent Pool Assessments

Qualifications:

  • Required: Minimum 5-7 years of Property Estimating experience
  • Required: Minimum 3 years of management experience in the Property field and/or Claims environment, ICA - HAG certification, IICRC Certification.
  • Required: Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle conflict resolution opportunities including complex issues
  • Required: Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel and Tableau
  • Required: Advance understanding of various property estimating software tools; including Verisk suite of products (i.e.: Xactimate) and Core Logic product
  • Required: Advance knowledge of Legal and Regulatory requirements such as Provincial Insurance Acts
  • Required: Strong working knowledge of foundational management systems; Continuous Improvement, Agile, Change Management
  • Asset: Enrolled in, or completion of, CIP designation, AMF License, NB License, Bilingualism.
  • Asset: An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of Claims Best Practices
