Summary
Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for an experienced War Game Designer/Senior Operational Research Analyst to support the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) Strike Group 360 Exercise Control Group in Norfolk, VA. The Navy Warfare Development Command plans, administers, and executes the Fleet 360 and Strike Group 360 war games as part of the iterative staff training cycle under the sponsorship of US Fleet Forces Command and US Pacific Fleet
The War Game Designer/Senior Operational Research Analyst will work as an integral part of the NWDC War Game Division and with the NWDC N2 Red Cell to develop and execute the Strike Group 360 and Fleet 360 war games. The War Game Designer will lead the game design team to meet customer requirements and quantitatively and qualitatively analyze war game results.

Responsibilities
The Senior Operational Research Analyst candidate will:
• Participate in all phases of the exercise life cycle.
• Develop war game or exercise objectives, plans, and recommended courses of action.
• Execute rigorous analysis and evaluation of concept development, including examination of various proposals/positions or tests.
• Provide analysis for fleet war games, tabletop analyses, exercises and experiments, Limited Objective Experiments (LOEs) and joint experiments.
• Manage stakeholder communication plan.
• Develop the data collection plan
• Conduct event/initiative planning, design, and execution
• Produce post-experiment briefings and support – must possess strong speaking, interpersonal, and writing skills
• Develop after action reports that meet customer expectations.
• Develop post game/exercise doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel and facilities (DOTMLPF) recommendations. • Occasional travel may be required to support event progress or for presenting deliverables.
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Operations Research or related field and 10 years of relevant experience. Navy operational staff experience preferred.
• Working knowledge or experience conducting war games or simulations.
• Education and experience must demonstrate a thorough understanding in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis.
• Candidate must possess an active Top Secret SCI clearance. • Qualified candidates should have fleet operations and exercise planning experience, staff experience preferred. Knowledge of the maritime domain is essential, navy experience a plus. Operational Research Systems Analysis education/experience highly encouraged.
