HII Umannned Systems has an exciting opportunity to join our Systems Engineering Group. As a System Engineer IV, you will assist in the detailed design, integration, and testing of new unmanned systems vehicles. This tasking will include requirements analysis and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and test, and system sustainment. Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Must have secret clearance #LI-MH1


Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with a multi-discipline, engineering background such as Naval Architecture, Aerospace, Robotics, etc.
  • Experience with requirements management
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for Model Based Design, Simulation and Data Analysis.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA/Confluence).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ideal candidate is an individual that can work in a fast paced environment; with a high attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and enthusiastic attitude.


Physical Requirements
Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
