Job Description
Who We Are:

Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is looking to hire a Staff Logistician in our Aberdeen Proving Grounds (Edgewood Area), MD location.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead efforts to ensure that logistics requirements (e.g., ease of use, maintainability, sustainability, logistics footprint, operator's point of view, etc.) have been incorporated into the fabrication and integration of systems.
  • Drive Government vehicles to complete all fielding and training requirements, as needed.
  • Serve as an adviser for materiel solutions project management techniques and best practices.
  • Conduct queries and reports on program assets to ensure program combat readiness meets Government-defined needs.
  • Coordinate with the sources of supply to ensure on-hand and planned inventories are adequate to support Government programs.
  • Develop and implement technical and programmatic plans and measures to track programs.
  • Design and implement systems to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
  • Generate progress reports and other logistics tracking information related to programs within the portfolio.
  • Work with program logisticians to identify risks and issues; research appropriate Department of Defense (DoD) logistics guidance, regulations, statutes, or best business practices; and develop alternative courses of action to address those risks and issues.
  • Provide recommendations for logistical issues to leadership.
  • Pparticipate in support activities (i.e., training product development, logistics demonstrations, manual validation/verifications, Instructor and Key Personnel Training (I&KPT), task demonstrations, warfighter working groups, user assessments, and stakeholder liaison activities) as necessary.
  • Serve as an organizational Point of Contact (POC) to outside organizations.
  • Interface and coordinate supportability efforts with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and resolve complex logistics issues.
  • Assist in development, design, and implementation of annual and long-range plans to realize the product development components of strategic objectives.
  • Assist in milestone planning by providing logistics input to technical briefing materials, documentation, and program schedules.
  • Draft, review, staff, and provide comment to logistics-related documentation.
  • Coordinate and attend logistical meetings, program reviews, conferences, and briefings. In addition, the contractor shall provide input to prepared presentation materials and displays, and develop meeting minutes after each event.
  • Serve as a logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Multi-Service Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Tiger Teams, and Working Groups.
  • Attend program-level logistics IPT meetings to maintain awareness of program issues and to develop a greater understanding of the program(s).
  • Track the status of action items, program milestones, and monthly sustainment reports. The contractor shall assist with submissions of official logistics taskers.
  • Maintain a library of program-specific electronic files and logistics reference materials for program files.
  • Provide senior-level CBRN and CBRN-related C4I subject matter expertise and certification in all aspects of mounted and dismounted reconnaissance.
  • Serve as an organizational POC to outside organizations (e.g., DTRA, ARCENT, AFRICOM, CENTCOM, Eighth Army Korea, PACOM, etc.).
  • Apply expertise in logistics, training, and fielding to the development and execution of DTT, NET and TPF.
  • Manage and coordinate JPM fielding of multiple configurations of CBRN equipment and systems, both CONUS/OCONUS.
  • Drive Government vehicles as needed to complete job duties. To do so, the contractor shall successfully complete the mandatory online APG driver's training course.

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintaine and active Secret clearance
