Job Description
Position Summary:
The candidate will support the development of JCIDS capability documents [Initial Capability Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD), CDD Annexes as required, and DOTMLPF Change Recommendation (DCR)] that propose DOTMLPF solutions to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) capability gaps. This support requires EOD experience more than it requires JCIDS experience.
Job Duties:
- Write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
- Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Research, develop, test, and evaluate materiel-based solutions to leverage state of the art technologies that support materiel capabilities, recommend EOD Science and Technology (S&T) priorities, support experimentation, and synchronize/integrate Army EOD materiel capabilities within the JIM environment.
- Conduct quality review of materials. Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications, such as technical journals, user and training manuals, government proposals, websites and podcasts. Gathers information through research, statistical reports and interviews with technical staff. Develops cataloging systems, and maintains records, files, electronic media and archiving of information for publications.
- Assist in preparing material for technical seminars and business forums.
- May be called upon to assist in technical or business presentations in such meetings as business or customer needs require.
- Select or recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify publications objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree plus 2-5 years experience
The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance.
Prior MOS 89D (enlisted) or AOC 89E (Officer) required. Preferred Master EOD Badge with 10 years EOD time, but should be at least prior EOD Team Leader Certified with at least 6 to 8 years of experience.
Prior requirements development preferred but not required. Must be detail oriented with good writing skills with minimum supervision required.
