Staff in this position provide a wide applications of principles, theories and concepts in their field and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions. He or she is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. He or she relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of complicated tasks.
The person in this position designs, develops, documents, assembles and tests all aspects of components and complex systems. This position involves embedded systems development to the board level on projects that span motion control/robotics applications, sensor integration, special communications systems, and size weight and power optimization. You will be a member of our multidiscipline, integrated development team and will see projects evolve from concept to delivery within 6-9 months on average.
You will lead and personally conduct complex procurement. You will present work with other CTI project team members to obtain requirement guidance and develop and get approval of task requirements. Coordinates with task and Program Managers, Manufacturing Managers and Director in task accomplishment. Contributes to proposal development in the area of technical approach, Work Breakdown Structure and cost/schedule.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Requirements:
US Citizen with Secret Clearance required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering a plus.
Experience with hardware design.
Preferences:
Project management experience is a plus.
Experience performing hands-on assembly of and modifications to electromechanical systems.
Experience analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical and effective solutions.
Experience with the following:
- Processor selection, various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), analog design, sensor design, low power design, various RF technologies and testing
- Digital and analog circuit design
- Power supply topologies
- Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Altium, PADS, or equivalent
- PCB bring-up and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support
- Experience with Test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and DMM
- Experience creating complete technical documentation packages
- Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware and cabling
