We’re looking for a product leader to scale and grow our Banking Network. Being uniquely positioned as a Fintech with banking licenses, Adyen has built its Banking infrastructure fully in-house and leverages its banking licenses in Europe, the United States and United Kingdom to offer a variety of financial products that use our banking network. Our banking network team is responsible for building and maintaining the end-to-end processing of all banking transactions (ACH, FedNow, SCT, SDD, NPP, FPS, etc..) for a variety of use cases like our payments acceptance as well as our Payouts and business bank accounts products. You will collaborate closely with the different product teams as well as functional teams to ensure our banking network contributes to best-in-class banking products. 

The role is based out of Amsterdam OR Madrid and sits within our Financial Products solution which is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the product teams that are responsible for building our integration into different payment systems like ACH, Faster Payments, and the different SEPA schemes.
  • Set the vision to where we should expand our network and leverage the capabilities of our existing networks to strengthen our product offering and ensure our network is a unique selling point for all our products that rely on transaction processing.
  • Work closely with your product teams to prioritise between the needs from different stakeholders.
  • Ensure we are compliant with local regulations and payment system rules at all times.
  • Work closely together with our commercial teams to enable them to sell and explain the USPs of our banking network;
  • Actively engage with customers to ensure they can get the true value out of our product and understand their future product needs;
  • You will multiply your impact by guiding and growing the team working directly or indirectly on our offering.

Who you are

  • Experience - 12+ years of working experience in product roles within a fintech- or financial services environment focussed on transactional banking
  • Product management - You are able to create a reliable roadmap and have the capability to make tough prioritization decisions.
  • Leadership - you have managed and successfully grown product teams before.
  • Mindset - You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are able to form a vision and work with your teams to implement that.
  • Proven record - you have experience in launching and scaling transactional banking products and have in-depth experience with at least one major market infrastructure. 
  • Market-informed - You know the global transactional banking world including the most important payment systems globally as well as transactional behavior of the population there. 
  • Analytics - You are able to assess and quantity the needs from different stakeholders and determine which business cases add the most value for further development.
  • Entrepreneurship - you are hands-on, have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects, and have the ability to manage priorities to get projects done in time
  • Communication - You have strong communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures.
