ADP is seeking a Strategic Plan Services Executive and President of ADP Strategic Plan Services (SPS), a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) affiliate of ADP, Inc. and a separate, indirect subsidiary of Automatic Data Processing, that provides fiduciary investment management services including the analysis, selection, monitoring, and if necessary, replacement of investment options. This leader will provide strategic direction and oversite for the RIA, providing services to over 70,000 clients, responsible for $20.8 billion assets under management. This individual will also act as a board member or officer for other regulated entities within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience leading investment fiduciary services or products, with a robust background on ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act). This role is pivotal in supporting ADP Retirement Services and our valuable clients as the trusted expert and thought leader in the industry. The span of control for this leader is 10 associates with 6 direct reports and 4 in-direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Oversee the strategic direction and operations of ADP Strategic Plan Services.
  • Lead and manage investment fiduciary services, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Assess areas of opportunity in an evolving regulatory environment as it relates to association with ADP SPS for business stakeholders (i.e. service and operations teams)

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.
  • Identify and nurture talent, promoting professional growth and development.

Board Membership or Officer:

  • Based on business needs, serve as a board member or officer for other regulated entities within ADP Retirement Services.
  • Provide strategic insights and governance to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other board members and officers to shape the organization's long-term vision and strategy.
  • Partner with ADP corporate as a leader of the RIA, attending board meetings, presenting financial statements and plans, identifying strategic growth opportunities, and executing the vision of the board.

Investment & Fiduciary Services:

  • Lead the development and management of investment strategies for defined contribution 401(k) retirement plans.
  • Ensure fiduciary responsibilities are met in accordance with ERISA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on investment management.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work closely with Retirement Services legal and compliance teams to meet the needs of the business often acting as a liaison and supporting the supervisory structure of ADP Broker Dealer.
  • Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization and its clients.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to maintain the organization's competitive edge.

Thought Leadership:

  • Act as a trusted expert and thought leader in the field of fiduciary services.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, seminars, and other public forums.
  • Publish articles and whitepapers to share insights and contribute to industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 12 years of people leadership experience.
  • Required to hold or obtain the following securities licenses; SIE, series 6, and 63 within 60 days and obtain series 26 within an additional 30 days.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERISA and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of leadership and strategic management in a similar role.
  • Ability to navigate complex organization challenges and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and lead high performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with investment analysis and decision making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Law degree that specializes in ERISA is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERISA and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of leadership and strategic management in a similar role.
  • Ability to navigate complex organization challenges and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and lead high performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with investment analysis and decision making.
  • Professional investment related certifications such as CMFC, CFA, CFP, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Professional retirement industry certifications such as CPFA, QKA, QPA, CPC, or similar are highly desirable.
