In this role, you will architect and manage the strategy, technology, and governance of ADP's cloud-based Identity & Access Management (IDAM) platform. This role will significantly influence user access, application security & data privacy. You will work across teams overseeing the design & implementation of our IDAM systems to ensure we have a modern, world-class user experience and security.

You will test your leadership skills as you set direction and produce reference architectures for developers to follow. You will be involved in single-sign-on, passwordless authentication, multi-factor & adaptive authentication working with technologies such as OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and PKI. Your influence and impact on ADP's security posture will be crucial as you work closely with our Global Security organization to ensure the development and deployment of proper controls, mitigate risks, and keep fraud in check.

To thrive in this role, you shouldn't let the pace scare you, and one of your strengths is the ability to navigate challenging problems calmly under pressure. You will make a personal impact organization-wide as you evangelize IDAM features and partner across our product portfolio to ensure the adoption of controls with the highest quality, resilience, and resistance to malicious activity. You will benefit from a learning environment as you mentor developers, lead innovation, study industry trends, and become our resident expert on IDAM. You'll need versatile knowledge of coding languages, including front-end, scripting, and back-ends like Java, Javascript, React JS, JS frameworks, MySQL, AWS Platform or others.

Every day, you will promote architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned with business strategy. Each day, you will start with a scrum and identify priorities within the current sprint or discuss a new project. Then you'll create designs to guide the developers while they code what you design. If something is particularly critical, you may have to roll up your sleeves and code. As the team lead, you'll communicate and collaborate with your team and cross-functionally, acting as the technical reference. You will constantly mentor developers and collaborate with peer architects on other teams. You must be adept at teaching, leading, and influencing. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • R&D. Learn how ADP IDAM works and evolve our approach to improve business results.
  • Risk Management. Understand risks & vulnerabilities and work with our Global Security organization and Product Owners to prioritize and mitigate those items.S
  • Scrums. You'll start every day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate design and coding priorities.
  • Coding. Your chief role is to design, coding and support. Once you create your design, you will guide developers to bring it to life using tools like Java, Node JS, React, or others. You will review their code, refine it if necessary, and jump in and code critical areas yourself.
  • Learning. Never a dull moment. Cyber-security moves fast. Learn, learn, learn. Take people on the journey with you, and be an agent of change. You're the technical expert on the team, so when issues arise, you'll be the one developing a fix. When you present a design, you are open to feedback from your engineer team since you believe collaboration helps strengthen your ideas, especially if someone thought of something you hadn't considered. After all, we all have the same goal, develop the best solutions we can for our clients.
  • Challenges. We serve over 20 million active monthly users with hundreds of Products, so our solutions must scale, be easy to use, and be flexible enough to meet the needs of enterprises, government agencies, and small businesses.
  • Client Implementation & Service Support: You will need to involve in supporting the client implementation team with the implementation of IDAM for new clients & the client service team for addressing IDAM issues reported by the clients in service.
  • Variety of work. There is no typical day. Some days you will dedicate to design or mentoring team members, while others you will spend on projects for quality assurance, security, UX, or any number of other functions.
  • Experience. You have 12+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • Prior experience that would give you extra comfort in the role includes:
    • Hands-on expertise with SAML, SSO, OAuth, Multi-Factor Authentication, networking routing techniques, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and gateway anti-malware.
    • Proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, Node JS, JSON, React JS, Kafka
    • Hands-on experience with Springboot and Spring integrations
    • RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Mongo or DynamoDB
    • GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, Public Cloud (AWS or Azure)

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $88,800.00 - $237,960.00 / Year
