Sr Quality Assurance Analyst
The Quality Assurance group performs a variety of management, analysis, testing and debugging functions. Quality Assurance associates at every level are engaged in application software testing activities designed to certify that developed software meets the stated requirements and is free of defects prior to implementation into a production environment. To achieve this goal, a wide range of industry standard skill sets, processes, and testing techniques are utilized. Software is typically certified for functionality, performance, usability, and conformance with organization's technical standards depending on the charter of the group performing the testing. Responsibilities may include test case/script design, test systems/subsystem definition, test automation development (design, coding, testing), test case development, test execution, and test metric definitions. Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Requirements :
Education: Desired BA/BS degree -- or equivalent in education and experience.
Experience: Desired a strong experience in equivalent or similar area.
Fuctional Knowledge: Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
Business Expertise: Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competitions and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Leadership: Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
Problem Solving: Be able to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Interpersonal Skills: Communication - Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
