The Sr. Quality Assurance Functional Consultant is a key position within the Quality Assurance team within Salesforce Professional Services. The Sr. Quality Assurance Consultant collaborates with various project teams across customer implementations. This role works under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgment to ensure the appropriate level of quality is incorporated into our customer implementations. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with a highly collaborative approach, exhibiting excellent problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating Test artifacts including Test Plan, Test Execution Status Reports, and Defect Reports.
  • Works closely with internal and customer teams to understand business requirements, coordinate testing activities, and communicate test results.
  • Lead test team in translating business requirements to test cases and test scripts
  • Manage a QA Analyst through all Phases of Testing - (Functional, System, Integration, and User Acceptance) on a project
  • Lead internal defect triage calls
  • Assist customer with SIT/UAT planning as needed
  • Assist with UAT defect triage calls
  • Liaison to customer Quality Assurance Lead
  • Maintain and communicate QA metrics to internal and customer partners via status/metrics reports
  • Document and communicate QA-related risks to Project Management
  • Interact, communicate and follow through with development & customer teams throughout the testing phase
  • Ability to adapt to customer processes and integrate them into day to day work as needed without compromising standard processes and quality
  • Create and execute manual test scripts, based on customer requirements
  • Identify gaps in user experience and usability of implementation
  • Perform and report on regression testing at regular intervals throughout a project
  • Keep test scripts current and up-to-date, based on changes to requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a test consultant capacity
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Salesforce platform
  • Strong understanding of SQA methodologies.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an Agile environment is a must.
  • 2+ years experience with API testing.
  • Hands-on exp with API tools like Postman, SoapUI
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects
  • Experience in large-scale software deployments.
  • Salesforce certification is a big plus
  • Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2 weeks)
  • Experience in the full software lifecycles from design to deployment
  • Excellent communication skills required and able to work independently
  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
  • Self-starter and proactive is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or foreign equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus

For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $105,600 to $145,200.
