Business Systems Manager

Within the CSL Implementation department we are looking for someone to own and lead at a Strategic and Tactical level, everything related to the use of our internal Central Implementation business tools and systems, including the end-to-end data flow through these tools with a main focus on Planview. This is a key role that owns business data needs and leads data collection approaches, data flow integrations and data coherency efforts across the CSL Implementation department.

This role is based within the Operations team of the CSL Implementation department and reports to CSL Implementation Strategic Operations Director.
What will I be doing?
Acting as product owner/business analyst for a Central Implementation system (PlanView)
This will involve leading Projects as well as "Business as Usual" activities concurrently. And within both areas there will be work on issue resolution and work on improvements.
On data needs and requirements
- Working with business representatives to capture their data needs (what data do they need to see, capture, report on etc. in order to manage projects effectively and take business decisions)
- Rationalizing and making suggestions to business on new approaches to meet their data needs
- Translating business data needs into the functional design of data capture, update and movement mechanisms across systems
- Participating in projects where implementation data needs to connect and flow with other systems
- Working with product teams to define optimal data flows within the tool ecosystem and the mechanisms required to meet business needs and maintain data consistency across systems
- Ensuring Implementation data in systems is coherent and structured in a way to enable and facilitate portfolio management, reporting and support the key business processes (such as sales forecast, billing....)
- Maintaining a data dictionary for the Central Implementation system and how it supports business process & interaction with other systems
- Defining the system mechanisms required to adequately process and monitor data (auto-populated and manually populated data)
- Managing the quarterly releases for vendor platform updates
On changes, comms and deployment
- Identifying the requirements on systems to accommodate new services /offers being introduced
- Understanding the importance of change management to facilitate the transition to new technology and processes. Develop and maintain user procedures, guidelines, process maps, training materials and documentation for end users.
- Managing communications with, and being a point of contact for, business end users (where appropriate)
- Contributing in BPI initiatives to review, assess and recommend improvements to current processes, user experience, and innovative solutions.
Others:
- Supervising the activities of a small off-shored support team (4 people)

How will I know that I am successful at it?
- I understand the Implementation process and the data needs that relate to it
- I can translate the data needs of Implementation Teams into the functional design of data capture and data movement mechanisms
- Manual data entry by the Implementation Teams will be reduced to only the minimum of what is strictly necessary
- Manual data entry by the Implementation Teams will be intuitive and within a single system
- Implementation data will flow seamlessly between systems
- Implementation data will be consistent and synchronized across systems
- Implementation data will be centralized and easy to extract
- Implementation data will be coherent and easy to report on
- I have a good relationship with the off-shored support team and they are working in an efficient and effective way
- Information about the Central Implementation system (PlanView) is documented, accurate and accessible
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in working with data systems (project management systems, task orchestration systems, data repository systems etc.)
- Experience of working on data flows and data coherency within data systems
- Experience in project management and/or business improvement environments is a plus
- Proven ability to work within a team and independently.
- International culture and ability to work in a multinational environment.
- Efficient in at least English. Additional languages are pluses.
- University degree or equivalent in education or experience.
