Project Control Specialist

Job Description:
Our client is seeking resources for a long-term, ground-up, software development program for the Federal government. The Project Control Analyst will be a member of the PMO team and will assist with establishing and managing the program financial controls and assist the PMO with financial governance, oversight, and reporting.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide analysis and support to Senior Earned Value Specialist for oversight, management and control of financial, cost, schedule and performance to meet contract requirements.
- Support the Senior Earned Value Specialist in the application of Earned Value Management concepts and maintenance of and adherence to the Earned Value Management System Description. Perform duties including:
- Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with the collection and verification of status data;
- Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with creation of Variance Analysis Reports (VARs), including Description, Impact, and Corrective Action;
- Support Control Account Managers (CAMs), Program Manager, and EV Specialist to update Estimate to Complete (ETC) / Estimate at Complete (EAC);
- Ideal candidates will also:
- Update EVM charts and Program Management Report (PMR) PowerPoint slides
- Maintain schedule change log
- Maintain Budget Control Log (BCL)
- Maintain Contract Modification Log
- Maintain EVM cost log

The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or other analytical field
- 3 years of experience working on large software development programs, or Earned Value Management, or project controls
- Good quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and speaking communication skills
- Familiarity with Deltek COBRA desired
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with and experience using Microsoft Project desired, including baselines, predecessor/successor relationships, and maintaining schedule update logs
- Strong skills knowledge of other Microsoft (MS) Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Familiarity with Earned Value concepts, including BCWS, BCWP, CV, SV, TCPI, etc., desired
- Familiarity with the IPMR Formats 1-7
