AAA is hiring for a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate must have proven success in developing new programs, managing Business Resource Groups, and have experience with implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

We are looking for a candidate that has experience implementing processes and initiatives that produce desired outcomes to foster inclusive leadership; boost collaboration and innovation; eliminate hidden barriers to success; and empower the company to attract, retain and advance top talent with diverse cultural backgrounds.

This position will work on a hybrid schedule: onsite in Wilmington, DE and remote.

The primary duties are:
  • Manage the organization's strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across our three DEI pillars Workforce, Workplace, and Marketplace.
  • Manage and support Business Resource Groups (BRG). Responsible for communicating, implementing, and maintaining governance structure, providing guidance and direction on goals, improving education, engagement and effectiveness of the teams and identifying ways to encourage cross team collaboration.
  • Ensure that BRG activities comply with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Control BRG expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
  • Serve as liaison between BRGs and Diversity Council.
  • Provide reports and updates to the Diversity Council, senior management or other stakeholders.
  • Oversee and coordinate the DEI calendar (communication, events, training, etc.).
  • Conduct company-wide demographic analysis and shares results with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Implement programs and initiatives that support the diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy and enterprise strategies and goals.
  • Responsible for participating in and keeping abreast of DEI related survey/benchmarking tools, analyzing the results and working with the Talent and DEI Director to help develop and drive action plans.
  • Coordinate the delivery of ongoing and strategic Associate DEI development opportunities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external DEI vendors and partners.
  • Develop and implement programs designed to foster inclusivity, eliminate barriers to success, and attract, retain, and advance top diversity talent.
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to better support and develop talent from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Partner with the operations and marketing teams to identify and develop strategies to ensure understanding of diverse markets.
  • Keep abreast of external diversity best practices, trends, and learnings to make recommendations for new initiatives to ensure that ACA is a leader in the DEI space.
  • Develop and analyze metrics for measuring progress and effectiveness of the company's diversity and inclusion strategy.
  • Partner with external vendors to identify, coordinate, and evaluate DEI learning programs that supports a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Develop and disseminate communications regarding DEI programs and strategies and answers relevant questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science, Business, Legal, Human Resources, Management or other related disciplines; Master's Degree a plus.
  • 7-8+ years of relevant experience; or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of driving corporate diversity initiatives and programs.
  • 3+ years of implementing and managing organization Business Resource Groups.
  • Diversity & Inclusion certification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, inclusive leadership style, strategic and innovative thinking, persuading, and influencing, professional presence and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project charters, project plans, status reports, communication and change management plans.
  • Strong organization skills, including setting priorities, planning, structuring project deliverables and problem solving.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders at the highest level within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful, collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and internal and external constituent groups.
  • Resilient, entrepreneurial and proactive-- able to lead and develop initiatives and programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven credibility and a demonstrated ability to inspire trust, motivate in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment, and promote and foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.
