The Team & Role

Zuora is seeking a paid search expert to join our marketing team as a Search Engine Marketing Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our digital presence and driving customer acquisition through paid search channels. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, you'll be responsible for owning the end-to-end management of SEM campaigns, including initial setup, daily management, and ongoing optimization. This role offers the autonomy to experiment with new ideas and contribute fresh perspectives, making it ideal for a strategic thinker who excels in both data analysis and creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, develop search engine marketing (SEM) strategies that efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Manage setup and execution of paid search strategy, including configuration of account settings, tracking implementation, creation and organization of ad groups, writing of compelling ad copy, identification and refinement of keywords, and audience targeting.
  • Implement and optimize advanced bidding strategies to maximize ROI, including automated and manual bid adjustments.
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance, making real-time adjustments to bids, budgets, and targeting parameters to ensure alignment with business goals and KPIs.
  • Conduct A/B testing on various elements of the campaigns (e.g., ad copy, landing pages, targeting criteria) to drive continuous improvement and learning.
  • Manage campaign budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across different campaigns and adjusting spend based on performance data and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate regular reporting updates to leadership, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for campaign improvements to support the overall strategy.
  • Participate in quarterly planning and provide performance forecasts.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in paid search and digital marketing to contribute ideas for optimization.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns
    • Proven track record of successfully executing and optimizing paid search campaigns with measurable results.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with tools such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other search platforms.
    • Strong understanding of paid search reporting and analysis.
    • Proficiency in web analytics, with extensive experience in GA4.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and execution skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently under the direction of the reporting manager while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration with internal teams.
    • Understanding of how paid search integrates with overall marketing efforts.

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate's final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
