Office Manager- Boston

We seek an experienced Office Manager for our Boston office to manage daily office operations and coordinate support for employees, as well as manage and mentor administrative support staff. Office Managers also plan and coordinate office-wide special events (holiday party, summer picnics, sporting events, employee gifts, etc.). This position requires significant relevant work experience, strong people skills and ability to work independently in all the following areas.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Office Managing Principal on preparation for key meetings, including preparing and finalizing content/ coordinating with others for input
  • Define activities and generate ideas to drive further engagement and encourage in-person attendance in the office
  • Oversee the functioning and maintenance of office equipment and service calls and purchasing.
  • Oversee internal and external client meeting coordination and project support (i.e. meeting room set-up, hotel accommodations, catering, etc.)
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate building maintenance and janitorial service requests.
  • Participate in administrative staff recruiting.
  • Facilitate office orientation for new employees (office procedures, voice mail, etc.)

What You'll Bring

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 5-10 years successful prior work experience as administrative office manager or facilities manager.
  • Previous experience managing administrative teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail orientation, time management and flexibility.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve and make decisions.
  • Strong work ethic, professional presence, and hands-on style.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office products, Outlook and Internet search techniques.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining a sense of humor.
