Lead Software Engineer

Location: Evanston, IL Role may be performed at various unanticipated work locations throughout the US based on company and/or client need.

Job Role and Responsibility: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Design, implement, test, and support high-quality products by making critical software decisions and providing software-related subject matter expertise to ZS teams. Research new technologies, design advanced optimizations, and implement world-class user interfaces. Develop products and services using ZS's proprietary Javelin Software as a Service ("SaaS") platform. Utilize a variety of applications, systems, high-level programming languages, and frameworks, including but not limited to: Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web development, and/or web infrastructure to build high-quality software. Partner with Software Managers, Product Managers, and QA Analysts to develop realistic implementation plans with a focus on quality and sustainability. Perform automated testing, unit testing, Agile development, continuous integration, code reviews, and technical design to ensure the delivery of quality products. Research industry trends and technologies and promote adoption of best-in-class tools and technologies. Understand business issues and actively participate in designing products and features that meet business needs. May work at various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a software development-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following: 1. Full-stack SaaS development; 2. REST Frameworks; 3. SOA Web services and REST APIs; 4. Object oriented programming languages, including Java, Javascript, and C++; 5. CD/CD solutions using Maven and Jenkins; 6. HTML; and 7. CSS.
