HEAD OF MICROSOFT ALLIANCE

ZS' Strategic Alliances and Investments group focuses on identifying, designing and executing strategic partnerships across ZS's global business. Leveraging ZS's unique market intelligence, broad and deep industry coverage, strong relationships and a track record of credibility in the market; the Alliances function brings innovation to market and drives client impact through working with partners.

We seek an experienced business development teammate to build and grow our partnership with Microsoft. As head of Microsoft Alliance Manager, this position will be a member of the Strategic Alliances Team and requires strong partnerships experience managing relationship with Microsoft. This position requires a customer-first mindset, sales skills, and operational/ project management experience.

This position is responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution ZS-Microsoft Strategic partnership focused on sales and GTM. This requires engaging with cross-functional teams developing and executing win strategies for accounts and ensuring our customers success collaborating with Microsoft teams.

This is a leadership role with high visibility across ZS with a lot of engagement with ZS leadership.

What You'll Do
Field Engagement & Interlock:


  • Own the revenue target for partnership, (Key performance metrics- ZS services revenue, marketplace, cosell) and build joint pipeline.
  • Forge relationship with Field Sales and Business Units leaders within Microsoft to promote collaboration with our collective customers.
  • Work very closely with ZS client teams, Microsoft sales teams and customers to evangelize ZS solutions. Execute GTM plans, including sales plays and co-sell motions with Microsoft.
  • Engage strategically with ZS leaders and solution teams to define joint solutions on Microsoft platforms, build new areas of business, and successfully lead cross-functional initiatives.

Microsoft Partner Management & Execution:

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, and Microsoft to align, achieve goals and ensure seamless execution.
  • KPI Accountability: Account Engagement, Revenue Growth, (Services and Marketplace).
  • Funding Processes: Oversee all the Microsoft incentive funding to support customer success for migrations and POCs.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and best practices in project management to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Enablement: Ensure alignment across the Channels and Alliances teams
  • Marketplace: Build marketplace presence and own marketplace program guidelines interfacing directly with Microsoft

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is necessary.
  • 15 + years of prior relevant work experience in partner management, and track record of managing partnership with Microsoft.
  • A background in sales/ co-sell / influence sales is required, preferably within sales and revenue management.
  • Customer-centric mindset to build and nurture long-term relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey project updates and proposals effectively.
  • Prior experience in the technology industry, Cloud provider hyperscaler space - AWS, GCP, or Azure, or with SI/GSI partners is a plus. Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry will be a plus.
