Business Technology Solutions Manager

Location: Evanston, IL Role may be performed at various unanticipated work locations throughout the US based on company and/or client need.

Job Role and Responsibility: Manage IT projects by defining the IT project scope and strategies, analyzing and understanding the business issue, and developing IT project strategies using project management tools; in managing the IT project, ensure that high-quality project deliverables are completed with an appropriate level of analytical rigor and are delivered on time and within budget, using expertise in front-end user reporting (i.e. MSTR, Business Objects, or Cognos), back-end database management (i.e. Oracle or Teradata), and/or ETL interfacing technologies (i.e. Informatica or SSIS); lead the project management from initiation to completion, including communicating with clients and team members to understand objectives and technical requirements/features, creating deliverables, and communicate findings using BI solution designs and implementations and Microstrategy, QlikView, Cognos, Oracle, Informatica, and/or SSIS, etc.; manage 5-10 employees on a project basis, including Consultants, Associate Consultants, and Associates; participate in Requests for Proposals to manage future projects; and perform additional IT project activities including project planning/estimation, scoping/requirements through implementation, and quality assurance within timelines and budgets. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four years of experience in technology solution delivery engagements/projects.

Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): front-end user reporting, including MSTR, Business Object, or Cognos; back-end database management, including Oracle or Teradata; ETL interfacing technologies, including informatica or SSIS; BI solution design and implementation using technologies such as Microstrategy, Qlikview, Cognos, Oracle, Informatica, SSIS, or similar; and team or project management.
