ZS's Enterprise Data Governance Technology & Operations (EDGx) team partners with our clients to build stronger data organizations and ecosystems through the design, implementation, and stewardship of operational and technology-driven data governance solutions. We transform strategy to action, turning recommendations into tangible outcomes and behaviors to drive sustainable, scalable data governance solutions. We support training, adoption and integration of data governance capabilities into day-to-day data operations to create impact across our client organizations. We enable effective data governance through the application of leading technology solutions, automating and powering data management and governance capabilities beyond manual stewardship.
In addition to strong core consulting, data and technology skills, members of our team are differentiated in their ability to translate and embrace flexibility. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting a wide range of ZS clients and project teams. Our engagements vary in industry, size of client, and blends of functional and technical solutions. Clients and ZS teams rely on our team to act as translators by bridging siloes across our clients, translating business challenges into technology solution requirements, and driving operational improvements in the pursuit of strategic priorities.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with ZS internal teams and client teams to shape and implement high-quality data governance operational and technology solutions that address critical business problems
- Develop a deep understanding of client business challenges and effectively translate them into technical requirements (ex. Data cataloguing, data marketplace, data quality, data observability, data integration, business rules management, etc.)
- Lead modules and workstreams within projects while actively participating in hands-on build and implementation
- Actively support management of the program plan and conduct regular status updates with the client - risk and issue mitigation. You will also assist in driving the project forward to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
- Lead the definition of capabilities and build of frameworks, processes, and tools to support clients' data management and governance needs
- Structure and develop client deliverables in Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and other presentation mediums, telling a cohesive, effective story with supporting analysis in a clear and effective manner
- Synthesize and communicate results to clients and ZS teams through oral and written presentations
- Support the project lead in project delivery, including project planning, people management, staffing, and risk mitigation
- Develop client relationships and serve as key point of contact on certain aspects of projects
- Drive project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data, coordinating team meetings, and guiding or teaching more junior team members
- Collaborate effectively with an extended team of diverse skill sets (technology, business operations, data analytics, data management, IT, privacy, legal, compliance, etc.)
- Mentor and support development of Associates on your projects and teams
- Assist ZS Leadership with business case development, business development, innovation, thought leadership and team initiatives
- Support the design and creation of data governance assets and offerings

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic record in in data analytics, computer science, business, economics, engineering, physical or life sciences, applied match, statistics, or related fields.
- 3+ years of consulting experience in leading medium- or large-scale strategy and transformation, digital transformation, and/or technology implementations
- Up to 2 years of post-masters relevant work experience, and 1-2 years of pre-masters work experience.
- High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative.
- Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, team leadership
- Experience with data governance, data management, or data analytics concepts
- Familiarity with industry-standard products and platforms such as Alation, AWS, Ataccama, Atlan, Collibra, Databricks, Immuta, Informatica, OneTrust, Snowflake
Additional Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to structure thoughts logically during discussions and presentations
- Capability to simplify complex concepts into easily understandable frameworks and presentations
- Proficiency in working within a virtual global team environment, contributing to the timely delivery of multiple projects
- Travel to other offices as required to collaborate with clients and internal project teams
