In this role, you will:

Drive the integration process for all software components at Zoox, from feature definition to production.

Drive contributions that directly impact and improve developer productivity, in collaboration with release, infrastructure, and platform engineering teams.

Work across the software organization to continually improve testing strategies, measure system performance, and resolve issues identified during testing.

Expand and improve on automation and test optimization efforts, regularly participate in code review sessions, and enforce coding standards across Zoox's software organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field AND a minimum of 7 years of experience in complex testing environments (Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Aerospace, or related industries), with a minimum of 2 years of direct management experience

Deep knowledge of test methodologies and experience in developing, executing, and automating test plans

Experience implementing innovative changes to speed up and improve the software development life cycle, build processes and tooling to identify and mitigate risks

Prior experience creating, implementing, and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for complex systems

Proficiency with Github, CI, and Jira

Bonus Qualifications

Prior experience with the rigorous verification and validation of complex robotics and safety-critical software systems

Fluency in Python or another object-oriented language

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $185,000 to $220,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
