Senior Lead Counsel, Litigation
What you can expect
You will report to our Associate General Counsel of Litigation and work cross-functionally to partner with various business units. You'll work to advance business objectives while balancing litigation risk, identify and strategically navigate litigation issues, and defend Zoom against threatened and pending litigation matters.
This role will have you working both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams across the organization. You will proactively identify litigation and regulatory risk while also contributing to the defense and successful resolution of litigation spanning multiple areas of law in state and federal courts.
You'll also work with outside counsel to handle all phases of pre-litigation and litigation, including motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, along with settlement negotiations.

About the Team
Zoom is looking to add a Litigation Counsel to join our growing Legal team. We are looking for a generalist with broad experience advising technology companies in a variety of subject matter areas. These include: data privacy, securities, consumer class actions, competition, regulatory investigations, employment, and commercial litigation matters.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in a law firm, in house, or government attorney role
- Demonstrate experience in areas of complex commercial litigation, consumer class action defense, securities, competition, regulatory investigations, employment, and/or privacy litigation
- Provide practical, actionable advice that balances legal risk and business impact in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
- Possess knowledge of the multiple substantive areas of law and comfort working in unfamiliar areas
- Show practical, strategic, and results-oriented approach to problem solving while demonstrating a clear work ethic and sense of accountability, integrity, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Hold JD and California Bar admission in good standing (or qualified for/ willing to apply for/maintain Registered In-House Counsel status with the California State Bar)
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$146,700.00
Maximum:
$339,300.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
