Responsibilities
- Optimizing reliability, performance, supportability, and security of Zoom's infrastructure.
- Configuring all devices to push config to all devices instead of doing it manually (automation in any
- language)
- Participating in and review testing procedures for change and configuration management in production environments
- Ensuring security, backup, failover, alerting, and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place
- Identifying and assisting in implementing monitoring to ensure the health, performance, and security
- of Zoom's Data Center networks
- Developing capacity plans for new and existing video infrastructure
What we're looking for
- Have knowledge of Internet Routing protocols and techniques such as BGP, OSPF, ECMP, Traffic Engineering (TE) and similar.
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer
- Have proficiency with common route switch platforms such as Juniper, Arista, and Cisco.
- Have working knowledge and use of scripting languages such as Python, Shell (Bash) and Go.
- Have working knowledge and use of templating and configuration management systems(Infrastructure as code) such as Jinja, Ansible and Terraform
- Have work experience with a large ISP or data centre
- Have a background in Computer Science or a related subject or equivalent experience.
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$83,700.00
Maximum:
$178,000.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
