About the role
The Strategic Account Executive plays a vital role in our organization, with a strong focus on acquiring partnerships with the country's largest multifamily property management companies. This position is critical in our efforts to drive revenue growth from our largest potential partnerships. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for increasing revenue, forging, maintaining and strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction within our key strategic accounts.
As a Strategic Account Executive within the Zillow Rentals Team, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment where change is constant. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving the following objectives:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the largest multifamily property management companies in the country, guiding clients through the entire sales cycle to drive acquisition and revenue growth.
- Establish connections with property management company organizations. Develop internal advocates and educate them on the Zillow Rentals value proposition. Position our marketplace as a long-term partnership solution.
- Customer-centric mentality with a deep commitment to helping partners reach and exceed their business goals and objectives through partnering with Zillow Rentals.
- Responsible for the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.
- Conduct presentations over the phone, virtually and in-person to acquire, upsell and cross sell within client accounts, maximizing revenue potential.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, establishing trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
- Travel in-market to meet with potential accounts and attend keystone industry events, forming relationships and demonstrating expertise in the industry.
- Represent the voice of the customer within the organization, providing feedback for product development and marketing strategies. Partner internally with support to provide great service to customers.
- Demonstrate expertise in our systems and processes to enhance client experiences and streamline operations.
- Partner and navigate with internal partners across Partner Experience and Engagement, Marketing, Product, Operations and more, to align on acquisition strategies of the largest opportunities.
- Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and overcoming challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to effectively advise clients.
- Plan and facilitate client engagement events to strengthen partnerships and cultivate a sense of community.
- Participate routinely in rentals conferences, association events, and industry meetings to expand partnerships and increase exposure.
- Collaborate with the events team to create and deliver engaging experiences to potential customers to earn their business.
- Meet and exceed 6-month goals and quotas, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
This role has been categorized as a Field position. "Field" employees perform the majority of their work in a specified geographic location set by their management team. Employees are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to their region and/or service area. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications regarding time commitment and cost of daily commute.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $95,100.00 - $151,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in sales or account management, with a proven track record of success.
- High energy and a strong desire to achieve top results, with a personable and positive can-do attitude, both virtually and in person.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth through strong client connections.
- Demonstrated ownership and dedication to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to confidently present to multiple decision-makers, including C-Suite executives.
- Passion for engaging in high-level conversations with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and other key performance metrics.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.com, is preferred.
- Proficient in using Excel, Tableau, and other data analytic tools, including Google Analytics.
- Commitment to traveling 25% - 50% of the time, depending on the season
