The Rentals Marketing team sits at the center of this growth opportunity, uniquely positioned to drive brand health and deliver audience growth. We partner closely with business, sales, product, design, engineering, and analytics teams to accomplish our integrated plans. And the Rentals Product Marketing team is at the helm, driving deeper understanding of customer and partner needs, and translating those needs to actionable strategies for our marketing and product teams.

About the role

We are in search of a Product Marketer to lead our renter growth efforts. As a Senior Product Marketing Specialist in Zillow Rentals you keep our renter as your North Star, deeply understanding their journey, their needs, and jobs to be done - all in service of our promise to help renters get home. Armed with this understanding you create strategies to drive growth, partnering with product and marketing teams to ensure we build the right solutions and launch integrated large-scale national marketing campaigns. Ultimately, you are responsible for growing our renter audience, helping renters get home with Zillow Rentals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own our renter growth marketing strategy and associated go-to-market motions
  • Drive the core renter value proposition, positioning, and messaging frameworks
  • Manage the development and oversee execution of integrated national marketing campaigns in support of growing our renter audience nationally
  • Write and deliver marketing briefs that enable brand, creative, media, brand social, content, and owned channels to drive, execute, and optimize integrated national campaigns
  • Partner with the research & insights team to develop meaningful qualitative and quantitative research that informs our renter growth marketing strategy
  • Pair first party data and user understanding with macro-environmental trends to be the voice of the customer in business, product, and marketing decisions.
  • Consolidate and share marketing plans, narrative, results and findings with senior leadership
  • Partner with finance and data science to create marketing, campaign, and business goals for the business case for continued investment in renter growth campaigns
  • Support the SEO and shopping notifications teams to identify and scale opportunities to drive renter growth and active users

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $97,800.00 - $156,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Most importantly, you identify and address the right problems and are a creative mind who wants to be a part of a company leading a movement to re-imagine how we buy, rent and sell homes. Some specifics we are looking for in an ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years in B2C product marketing, brand management, integrated marketing, growth marketing, or similar roles with a Bachelors degree; Or 3+ years experience in the above areas with a Master's degree.
  • Experience leading and supporting large-scale integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and succinctly in long-form documents, in short-form briefs, and in executive level story-telling decks
  • Analytic-translator, knowing how to coordinate data from many teams and sources to help the business make better decisions
  • Experience connecting consumer insights with first-party data and macro signals to identify customer and business opportunities
  • A pairing of curiosity and ownership, driving you to dig deeper and connect more, but with a results-oriented mindset
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and lead through influence
  • Comfortable managing through ambiguity and leading flexible, agile, go-to-market tests as a means to identify stable and scalable strategies and tactics.
  • Experience working with product and business teams in a fast-paced technology company is a plus!
