Our Network office is located at 401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034. Our Network team follows a hybrid work schedule: we work in-person from our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, if your team’s scope of work permits.

Deliver powerful results 

To achieve our vision, we are searching for an Associate Director of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5-10 years of experience, including 3-4 years in an IT related field,  who is fueled by a passion for team success and continual improvement. Our ideal candidate has a creative, problem-solving mindset, disciplined focus on scalable processes, deep experience in IT operations,  and interest in education.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop an organization-wide technology strategy that aligns with Zeta’s mission and drives toward achieving its organizational goals

  • Systems Development: Design and implement technology systems used by school teams and the Network to utilize, track, and maintain IT assets

  • Infrastructure and Network Management: Ensure reliable operation of IT infrastructure, including network internet services, security systems, data storage, and backup systems

  • Hardware and Software Management: Oversee the systems for deploying, maintaining and upgrading all technology hardware. Manage users and evaluate efficacy of key software platforms deployed within the organization (e.g. Google Suite, Zoom, Asana, Clever, etc.)

  • Budgeting and Procurement: Develop the technology budget and oversee procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals

  • Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies, such as FERPA

  • Evaluation and Reporting: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of technology systems and report on performance to leadership 

  • Technical Support: Oversee support technicians and ensure provision of wow service to staff, students, and families for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware

  •  Professional Development: Organize professional development and training on new technologies and systems to school based and Network staff

  • Vendor Management: Own relationships with hardware, software, platform, and other related vendors to support IT assets and resources

  • Wear multiple hats as a part of a lean scale-up team, supporting the work of others on the team and taking on new projects and tasks as needed

We are hiring for immediate openings and onboarding on a rolling basis. The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $115,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales. This position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary, merit-based performance bonus.
