We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager, Security Assurance & Insights to lead our efforts in establishing and maintaining customer trust while driving security excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
As a senior leader, you will manage a global team of security professionals, overseeing programs that connect our customers with our internal Security, Legal, Privacy, and Sales teams. This is a hands-on, multifaceted role that requires a blend of strategic leadership, technical acumen, and project management expertise to advance Zendesks security initiatives and ensure compliance with global frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global team of security professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and high performance.
- Customer Assurance: Oversee customer-facing security programs, including risk assessments, RFPs, and audit responses, ensuring clear communication of security practices and compliance.
- Program Management: Lead security assurance initiatives aligned with regional market expansions and business growth goals, contributing to revenue generation and customer trust.
- Security Agreement Oversight: Review, redline, and negotiate customer contracts (e.g., MSAs, DPAs, BAAs) with a focus on security-related clauses to support high-value deals.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies, automating processes to streamline security operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key advisor to internal teams, providing actionable insights and guidance on security, legal, and privacy matters.
- Insights and Reporting: Maintain and enhance repositories of security questionnaires and artifacts, providing clear, timely insights to stakeholders.
- Innovation and Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging trends in cybersecurity and SaaS security to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 10 years in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in leadership roles, managing global teams and initiatives in SaaS or cloud environments.
- Technical Acumen: Proficient in security frameworks, compliance standards, and technologies relevant to SaaS and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSK, CISA, or equivalent) and expertise in industry frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and GDPR.
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing complex security projects and programs, including market expansion initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership: Strong ability to align security strategies with business goals, driving security as a revenue enabler.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences and foster trust with customers and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and creative mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex challenges.
- Education: A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Management or a related field is preferred.
- Helpful Tools Experience: Familiarity with tools such as Zendesk, OneTrust, Loopio, Workday, Salesforce, Confluence, Jira, and Coupa is advantageous but not mandatory.
The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł260,000.00-zł390,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
