Who we're looking for

Are you an exceptionally skilled and expert accounting professional with a consistent track record in managing revenue processes and systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our outstanding team as a Revenue Recognition Manager!

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for operational systems and the desire for understanding how they work, with a laser-like focus on data integrity (i.e., completeness and accuracy). The ability to identify problem root causes and applying feasible technical solutions are desired traits. Excellent collaboration skills, especially with external application vendors, are also key.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and innovate both manual and system-driven processes for validating revenue at the customer-contract level
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system revenue discrepancies
  • Ensure performance of recurring tasks for maintenance and clean up of system revenue in a timely manner
  • Maintain and streamline process for identification and review of non-standard customer agreements and sales transactions
  • Manage processes for reconciling and validating completeness of data uploaded into revenue system applications
  • Assist in the performance of other month-end close and ad-hoc tasks / projects as deemed vital
  • Work cross functionally with key business partners to improve existing operational processes and institute repeatable processes around the Zendesk Revenue policies to appropriately follow the ASC 606 guidelines
  • Assist with internal and/or external audit requests as required

What you bring to the role

  • Knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Standard with experience in the SaaS industry
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and other related systems (experience with Zuora Billing, Z-Revenue, NetSuite, Salesforce, and Klarity preferred)
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and great with time management
  • Ability to work US hours
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
