Are you a diligent and meticulous accounting professional? Zendesk is seeking an exceptionally skilled Collections Sr. Specialist to join our world-class team in Manila, Philippines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various internal teams to ensure flawless management of our accounts receivable processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining our high standards of financial operations.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the high-volume SMB, Mid-Market & Enterprise customer portfolio daily via AR Aging report.
- Examining and investigating detailed customer account invoices, payments, credit memos, and unapplied credits through account reconciliation.
- Conducting regular calls and emails to customers based on our Collection Policy and guidelines.
- Collaborating with Sales, Legal, Finance Ops, Renewals, and other internal teams to handle account coordination and address blocking issues, critical issues, customer concerns, partner concerns, and billing issues affecting collections.
- Recommending suspension, cancellation, write-off, and reactivation of accounts as necessary.
- Analyzing delinquent account balances and negotiating with delinquent accounts.
- Assisting the team with gathering support for audits, including pulling documentation.
- Participating in and supporting process improvements and updates to the Playbook.

What you bring to the role
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks successfully.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multinational company.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Oracle Netsuite.
- Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent.
