Yubico is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our flagship YubiEnterprise Services product. It is a web-based Enterprise solution that customers use to easily procure, distribute, and manage YubiKey authentication solutions at scale. You should have a passion for building Enterprise-grade web applications and be excited to understand the logic that drives a business solution. We are looking for someone who is proactive, works well with and within teams, and has a desire to do things right. You will develop a product that is used by many top Enterprise companies and will get to see your work in use right away.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Understand, enhance, maintain, and grow the business logic that powers the YubiEnterprise Services product
- Hone your skills in designing and developing APIs and logic that power a testable, scalable web application that is used by a variety of Enterprise customers
- Experiment, create prototypes, and refine your work based on user feedback, industry standards, and business needs
- Own projects, design, and strategies as you lead enhancements and new feature development to completion and deployment
- Work with a variety of technologies and increase your experience in many areas, ranging from cloud platform services and REST design, to data compliance and web security
- Work collaboratively with a tight-knit, multi-national development team to create well-architected software
- Expand your mentoring and leadership skills by being an influential member of the development team, drawing from your experience when providing design reviews and code reviews
- Work collaboratively across functions - with Product Managers, UX designers, Support Engineers, Logistics and Supply Chain, and Finance - while providing input and direction on features and function
- Participate in an on-call rotation and gain experience supporting business-critical Enterprise software
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline, or alternate, non-traditional training and education
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Proven experience building commercial, customer-facing software
- Experience with back-end software development that supports web applications: e.g. designing, building, and testing REST APIs
- Experience working with relational databases
- Working experience designing and developing microservices on Unix-based platforms
- Experience with one or more common web-backend languages such as (but not limited to) Go, python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js
- Experience leading projects and development of complex features; excellent communication skills
- Proven track record working in hyper growth companies along with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Bonus Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Go/Golang
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Playwright, Postman, Redis, Pub-sub
- Knowledge of, or experience with, the Agile methodology
- Experience managing or driving a project to completion
